World FZO’s Project Director Zoë Harries participated in Canada's FTZ Conference hosted by Foreign Trade Zone - Vancouver Island and CargoM - Grappe Métropolitaine de Logistique et Transport de Montréal and provided closing remarks on how to actualize the potential of FTZ Points across Canada to support export companies and attract foreign direct investment. Canada’s FTZ program urgently requires increased operational and financial support from federal government in order to successfully attract Foreign Direct Investment to the zones. CargoM, in collaboration with Foreign Trade Zone - Vancouver Island, hosted Canada’s first FTZ conference to mobilize relevant government bodies and stakeholders to support the enhancement of Canada’s FTZ value proposition and positioning in global value chains.
